French video artist Aurélie Mandon has created a mesmerizing videoclip for Memory Drawings’ song ‘The Right to be Forgotten’. We are extremely happy to announce that in December 11th Zozaya Records will release the vinyl edition of A Few Scattered Hours, the latest Memory Drawings’ album. An oasis in the middle of the turbulent 2020, the fourth installment in the career of the anglo-american-australian collective reflects on creativity in a hyperconnected but geographically distant world, as well as on the difficulties for experiencing a truly human life under current economic imperatives. If this sounds appealing to you, please check the pre-order for the baby blue and the regular black vinyl versions, already available from our store (recommended for continental Europe) and from Norman Records (recommended if you are in the United Kingdom). If you still need to be convinced about the magnificence of this album, you can listen to it entirely at the band’s bandcamp and even purchase there the CD version released by the fantastic British label Second Language.

Nos encanta anunciar que el próximo 11 de diciembre Zozaya Records lanzará la edición en vinilo de A Few Scattered Hours, el último disco de Memory Drawings. Un verdadero oasis en medio de este turbulento 2020, la cuarta entrega en la carrera del colectivo anglo-americano-australiano reflexiona a propósito de la creatividad en un mundo hiperconectado pero geográficamente distante, así como acerca de la dificultad para experimentar una vida verdaderamente humana bajo los actuales imperativos económicos. Si todo esto te resulta interesante, échale un ojo a la pre-venta del vinilo, ya disponible tanto en color azul como en negro en nuestra tienda (recomendada para la Europa continental) y en Norman Records (recomendada si te encuentras en el Reino Unido). Si en cambio aun no estás convencido acerca de la magneficiencia de este disco, puedes escucharlo por completo en el bandcamp de la banda, e incluso comprar allí la edición en CD publicada por el fantástico sello británico Second Language.

We are happy to announce that, as a result of a joint effort made with the fine guys from Acuarela, Memory Drawings will tour in Spain next May. This is a great oportunity to see live a band that, due to the distant geographical locations of its memebers, only in rare occassions is able to play together. For these shows the line-up will include the new drummer of the combo, Chris Cole (Manyfingers), who in the recent The Nearest Exit put in an additional rythmic layer to their constantly developing melodies. Incentives to enjoy the forthcoming shows go well beyond that, because this will be a unique opportunity to see the band in an expanded format, including two dulcimer players on stage (!). On top of that, shows in Lugo and Don Benito are free, and tickets for the shows in Barcelona, Valencia and Madrid, in which Manyfingers will be the supporting act, are available for an extremely reasonable price via Notikumi. And last but not least, a brand new EP from the band will be exclusively available in the shows.

Estamos encantados de anunciar que, como resultado del trabajo conjunto con la estupenda gente de Acuarela, Memory Drawings estarán de gira por España el próximo mes de mayo. Será una gran oportunidad para ver en vivo a esta banda que, debido a la distancia entre los respectivos lugares de residencia de sus miembros, sólo se reúne en ocasiones especiales. Para estos conciertos la alineación incluirá al nuevo batería del grupo, Chris Cole (Manyfingers), que en el reciente The Nearest Exit añadió una capa rítmica adicional a sus melodías en constante expansión. Los incentivos para disfrutar de sus próximos conciertos van mucho más allá de eso, porque esta será una oportunidad única de ver a la banda en formato expandido, incluyendo dos dulcémeles en el escenario (!). Desde hoy el nuevo album de Memory Drawings, tercero de su carrera, está por fin disponible. The Nearest Exit ha sido aclamado por la crítica, que parece tan cautivada por sus profundidades rítmicas y melódicas como lo estamos nosotros, pero preferimos que lo escuchéis con calma y que decidáis por vosotros mismos acerca de sus cualidades. Sólo tenéis que darle al play para empezar a descubrir el disco.

Pre-order now the forthcoming album from Memory Drawings, The Nearest Exit, and receive it safely at home on the official release date, September 22nd – if not earlier. For those who had a fancy for colours, there is a grey vinyl edition that you can only order from the bands’ Bandcamp. These are limited, so hurry up if you are interested! Vinyl edition in black is available as well from our new online store. Both editions not only include the full download of the album, but also of the impressive list of “Remixes and Reworks”. Para aquellos con especial inclinación por los colores, existe una edición en vinilo gris que solamente puede adquirirse en el Bandcamp de la banda. Son unidades limitadas, así que date prisa si estás interesado. La edición en vinilo negro está disponible también en nuestra nueva tienda online. Ambas ediciones no sólo vienen acompañadas de la descarga completa del album, sino también del impresionante listado de “Remixes and Reworks”. We are extremely pleased to announce that in a few weeks we will release the vinyl edition of Memory Drawings’ third album The Nearest Exit. The characteristic sound of this Anglo/American collective is defined by the hammered dulcimer played by Joel Hanson, around which orbit experienced musicians as Richard Adams (Hood, The Declining Winter), Sarah Kemp (Brave Timbers), Chris Cole (Movietone, Manyfingers) and Gareth S Brown (Hood). Together they create instrumentals seemingly rich in lyricism but whose resonance appeals to our innermost emotions.

Nos complace sobremanera anunciar que a la vuelta de unas semanas publicaremos la edición en vinilo del tercer album de Memory Drawings, The Nearest Exit. El característico sonido de este colectivo anglo-americano viene definido por el dulcémele o salterio interpretado por Joel Hanson, alrededor del cual orbitan músicos de larga trayectoria como Richard Adams (Hood, The Declining Winter), Sarah Kemp (Brave Timbers), Chris Cole (Movietone, Manyfingers) y Gareth S Brown (Hood). Juntos crean instrumentales aparentemente líricos que en su resonancia apelan a nuestras más íntimas emociones.
